India successfully launched Mars Orbiter Mission

India is the first country to successfully send a spacecraft in Mars orbit on its very first attempt on 24th September, 2014.

It was not an easy task but they have done it. India launched Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) on 5th November 2013 by the ISRO which is primary space agency of India established on 15th August 1969, Its headquarter in bengaluru. Many successful planes launched by ISRO like SLV, ASLV, GAGAN, IRNSS and many more.

The budget of MOM is only Rs.450 Crores which is almost one tenth of US Mangal Mission. All credit goes to scientist of ISRO under the leadership of Mr. K.Radhakrishanan, who made it possible in this budget. On the other hand in our country a small bridge budget is more than this.

The mass of spacecraft was 1,350 kg (2,980 lb), including 852 kg (1,878 lb) of propellant with dimensions of 1.5 m. It gains electric power by three solar array panels which stored electricity in a 36 Ah Li-ion battery.

PM Narendra Modi was also present on this historical movement. He was silent untill good news came out.
