Every bowler has a dream to take hat-trick in his cricket carrier. If anyone takes hat-trick in world cup, he feel more happy. There are few cricketers who got this in world cup. Lasith Malinga, the only cricketer to take three ODI hat-tricks, he took hat-tricks twice in world cup.

Chetan Sharma is the first cricketer from India to took hat-trick in world cup cricket. Sharma took his hat-trick on Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground, Nagpur against New Zealand on 31st October, 1987. Pakistani cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq took hat-trick against Zimbabwe on The Oval, London on 11th June, 1999. Chaminda Vaas from Sri lanka took his world cup hat-trick against Bangladesh at Pietermaritzburg Oval on 14th February, 2003. Brett Lee also did it in same world cup against Kenya at Kingsmead, Durban on 15th March, 2003.

Lasith Malinga from Sri Lanka claim his first hat-trick against South Africa. Malinga completed his hat-trick in two overs. He took four wicket in a row (first two on fifth and sixth bowl of one over and remaining two in next over’s first two ball. Karibian Kemar Roach done in 2011 world cup against Netherlands at Feroz Shah Kotla, New Delhi on 28th February, 2011. Malinga again took hat-trick in 2011 world cup against Kenya at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on 1st march,2011. In current world cup Steven Finn from England has taken his hat-trick against Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne on 14th February, 2015.
